You obviously don't have any experience with ZT knives. They are a major step up in build quality from your regular Kershaw. Much more substantial than something like the Blur. But I do own and like the Blur as well.

Cool knives, but be aware: this particular model is pretty chunky in the hand. Definitely bigger and heavier than is my preference for EDC. More akin to a folding hunting knife. If you are considering this for daily use, carefully study the specs is all I'm sayin'!

This is a good price for a big hunk of S30V from a solid, reputable maker

Agreed, have had this knife for many years and I never carry it. It mainly sits on a shelf. It's far too thick, heavy and just all around large for an EDC.

Had this as an EDC (along with the ZT 0562CF) for over 5 years now. It's an absolute tank of a knife, but an entirely different beast than the Benchmade. There's an elegance to the 940 that's missing from the ZT. There's a ruggedness to the ZT that's missing from the 940. I will say the recurve on the ZT is a bear (along with the s30v) to resharpen/touch up. I think if anything you're getting much more knife for your money here, but it depends on how you intend to use it and if you're comfortable carrying and using a larger, heavier pocketkinfe.

Also, to those that are worried, I also got a fake from Amazon of this exact knife, but didn't know until it went back to ZT for sharpening and got a letter that it was a phony, years after it was eligible to return. Be very careful and know how to spot a fake when buying from Amazon, even shipped and sold by, as they mix stock in the warehouses with vendors who use "fulfilled by Amazon".
