I have worn out all my quick open Kershaws. I tend to fidget with them at my desk. The open assist quits assisting. (this is not a quick open, just making a comment)

Looks dead now.

edit: nope. still live. my bad!

Almost ordered it, but I haven't had good luck with my China made Kershaws. They rust and wear out faster than the US made ones, and the blades don't hold an edge for as long.

I have enough knives. I don't need more knives. Yup, telling myself that. But if kershaw leek goes on sale this year I'm done 😂

Says I've bought 2 before. I keep losing them (and apparently many others) in random places around the house. I figure.... Keep buying everything until I have one within reach everywhere. Then I'll be good. Maybe I should keep one on a retractable line.... I maybe have a problem. Luckily more knives fixes that. :/

not a knife expert, but bought this a year or so ago as a glorified box opener and it's terrible. the cinder is way better, and cheaper

Exactly, why I am buying another knife is because I have no clue where my other one went.

I know knife preference is subjective but I've honestly never understood much of infatuation with the Leek. It reminds me a lot of the movie The Shawshank Redemption lol. I mean it's ok, sure, but it's almost like a cult where you can't question it or you'll be shouted down by it's members attempting to maintain the illusion of grandeur.

Whether it is a knife, or a movie, or skinny jeans, or some tik tok meme, something gets some attention, and then everyone jumps in and the hype builds as people increasingly glorify it and are benefitted by doing so, as everyone wants to feel they are part of this really popular, elite, and/or enlightened group. It isn't always contrived but many times it really seems to be, even if subconsciously.

I mean the Leek is heavy/dense for it's size, the blade shape is not admirably durable or versatile, it isn't relatively rare or expensive, and it has been around forever and isn't really unique at this point. Other than being made in the USA, what is the allure?

I'm really not a knife hater but am aggravated by mediocrity that becomes popular just because it is popular, at the expense of lots of other things actually deserving of such popularity.

I like these. Got 2 a while back - and leave one in each of our vehicles.

I always thought the same. I thought it was just me. I have never owned the leek. Maybe I am missing something?
