About this product:
Stadia Controller requires a Wi-Fi network and a mobile device running Android 6.0, Marshmallow or later, or iOS 11 or later
Stadia supports Chrome OS tablets including Pixel Slate, Acer Chromebook Tab 10, and HP Chromebook X2. Stadia supports Pixel 2, Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, Pixel 4 family phones, and popular Android phones
Indeed, it works wirelessly if you actually want to use Stadia.
The controller actually connects over wifi directly to Google's datacenter. They said this would reduce latency over connecting via wifi direct or bluetooth to the Chromecast (or laptop, phone, etc) and then relaying your button presses to Google, but reviews were mixed on that. It works on Windows out of the box as a directInput controller, which is flawless when added in Steam, but you lose analog triggers outside Steam. This can be fixed by running this program:

Still, $22 and you get a Chromecast Ultra too. It ain't bad.
You get a Chromecast Ultra and a perfectly fine gamepad that works great on PC, although it must be plugged-in. $22.22 with free shipping ain't bad.
