And you're stuck with that 8GB Ram, isn't it? Let me know the price of xps 13 9305 with 16gb ram and 512gb SSD.
I don't know what the obsession is over screens these days. This isn't a laptop for a graphic designer or gamer, rather an entry level business laptop. And for business needs, watching YouTube, and/or Excel & Word this definitely fits the bill.

Not to mention it's been tested to Military Spec(ie spill proof, drop proof) this gives the Thinkpads a durability and longevity advantage over most other laptops. This tends to get overlooked.

Terrible screen at this price point. Dell XPS was going for $636 in November with similar specs in i5 8gb 256ssd configuration and that screen is top notch

Nice meme mate

The i5 is also significantly worse, battery matters most in these laptops where Ryzen easily wins, and it's a quad core.. this laptop has 50% more cores

Do you know what the 'floor' price error that occurs without the bag, upon applying the coupon means?

I am trying to get a different thinkpad and I keep getting the error, and addition of any item, including this bag does not resolve it.

Are thinkpads generally heavier than other similar specd laptops? Most recent deals seem to be in the sub-3lb range. This is 3.4+.

The E and L series tend to be heavier than higher-end ThinkPads as well as most competitors. This is because they don't use the same lightweight materials (e.g., magnesium) that the pricier ThinkPads get, but they are still built a bit more sturdily than budget competitors.

Review here with the same 250 nits display but 5850U CPU:
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Len...960.0.html

Although the other shell is made of ABS Plastic, the lid and the palm rests are coated. The hinges are made of metal. And despite being a budget ThinkPad Series, it has an internal magnesium alloy frame which made this laptop very durable

Sometimes too much is made out of screen brightness . 250 nits is perfectly usable indoors. L series is the sweet spot when it comes to specs vs budget. Great for those who cannot afford T series.

The model 20X50051US uses a better AMD chip with 8 cores 16 threads for $170 more. Can apply the coupon merrysaving without adding a laptop sleeve to qualify the $40 off discount. After ID.me discount it comes out $739.01, less than $100 more.

You might want to check your info. Even the low end i5 CPUs since 8th gen have been quad core
