I think you're confusing southwest for spirit or JetBlue. I'm 220lbs and I've had a better experience with southwest flights than most airlines. I've refused to fly JetBlue or spirit after only one flight on each. American and United are terrible as far as losing luggage and delays. Southwest is honestly my favorite airline. Virgin was a favorite of mine but they are no longer in my city.

Try upgrading to the big front seat for $40-$80. Best old fashioned "business" class seat you can find in any narrow body domestic flight except some select planes that offer lie flat seats like the JetBlue A321s with lie flat business. But good luck getting those for $80 more.

We are actually looking into going to Hawaii this year for our 20th anniversary. Can anyone tell me if the best or going rate from the mainlands to Hawaii is generally around $100. I think that's the book now rate but I wanted to double check. I'm east coast but I have enough points to get me to California or Vegas or Arizona on my credit card so looking at from one of those states.

I lived in Hawaii for many years, and left in 2012. $600 Round trip would have been a great deal to the east coast. Southwest did not fly to Hawaii then. If you're going from
California then I am Sure you can find some $100 one way fares. Anything In That range for a 2500+ miles flight is amazing.

Do this apply to wanna get away fare too? I booked our flights week ago and now $500 cheaper.....
This happened to me once before. Go online or call and if you fall within the 14 days period and the fares are cheaper, they will give you a credit, not a refund. It has to be canceled and then rebooked.

Weird, I found round trip for two to Miami for $250, non-stop, which normally would run $400 on some of their best "sales"

There seem to be some Friday availabilities as of today, don't know if they added them recently, check your destinations.

Not a single discounted flight to anywhere out of my market. Only one, to Chicago, out of the next closest airport 1.5 hours away.

This "sale" is a big nothingburger. Most likely this is to just keep their annual post new year's sale pattern (and compete with Alaska's current $29), but there's really nothing spectacular here. People who think this is a deal are probably those who don't book during a real Southwest sale.

Love Southwest, it's pretty much the only airline I use.
The 2 free checked bags are great. Plenty of flights available out of HOU.
Don't need any fancy airlines to get to where I'm going.
The only thing that sucks right now is that they still are not serving alcohol on flights.

that's probably true in most cases.

However, I was able to re-book Houston to Honolulu fares, getting better flight times, saving 2 hours on BOTH the departing and returing flights while saving $40/ticket (for later use ofc). Only possible with SWA policies. So I think it is worthwhile at least checking their "sale" prices.

What dates are you flying? Been thinking of going to Hawaii at some point too.
