Wipers for $4.88.

I think this is a nice addition to other wiper deals on SD

Shopping for wipers in advance auto and autozone I discovered that for conventional wiper blades you can't touch anything for less than $14 (I live in a metro area no wall mart around). FYI I was also supersized to find out that Advanced Auto carries Car Quest brand wipers in the back of the stores, not shown to public for $10 (you can ask associates to bring them out). However I returned wipers from autozone and advance auto in favor of armor all for $4.88.

I have never used these but at a glance for 4.88 they have graphite coating which $14 dollar wipers from auto stores did appear to have. I have installed them tonight and can say the first 5 wipes they were excellent. How long they will last remains to be seen. Made in Taiwan.

FYI I dont use the frame, my car has very peculiar wipers from factory that I don't want to replace so I just pulled out the rubber wiper element. At a glance the frames appear to be of good quality.

In for a few. No matter how expensive wipers I buy they always squeak within a year.
They will fit just fine as long as your wiper blade arm accepts them.

Actually I prefer these in the northeast because if you get ice on your windshield the bow type doesn't apply enough pressure at the ends and will lift right over the ice. This style stays more even across the length of the blade.

Just caught myself right before buying these... They are not beam blades which means the OP's conventional ones only work with mostly older model vehicles.

Sometimes you can replace just the squeegee element. I have been doing this for the past 7 years. My wipers are conventional but I have pulled the Squeegee out of $30 expensive blade once. They are very similar. I don't c y it would not work the other way, but you have to be mindful of the width of the Squeegee And few other technical aspects.
