Popular uses for it are of course, drawing, illustrating, designing, and photo editing. For photo editing, it's useful if you want to use selection tools or do spot treatments that require precise hand movements. You can also write handwritten notes and draw diagrams in sticky notes, Onenote, Evernote. You can browse online like you would a mouse or track pad. Hell, I've even used it to my advantage when I play Jackbox drawing games lol. I mean if you use the computer a lot I'd say it's worth it even if you're not an illustrator, graphic designer, or photographer.
In my job, I use Photoshop and a 3d program. I use my (medium size) Wacom as a substitute for a mouse. Ergonomically speaking, can't be beat. And if you're working with dual monitor, most likely want to skip the small size since little stylus movement will translate to a lot of cursor movement, harder to be precise. It's true, usually only drawing and photo-editing programs will take advantage of the pressure sensitivity, but for me, I love never having a tired wrist from using a mouse.
Medium is also 50% off. Thats a better deal IMO.
