Coupon Policy:

Hy-Vee is happy to redeem your coupons. The following rules apply when accepting vendor coupons clipped from newspapers or magazines, received by mail, or obtained legitimately from the internet:
  • The coupon must be legible.
  • The coupon should have a scannable bar code (UPC) and a remittable manufacturer’s address.
  • Coupons must have an expiration date and must be used within the stated time frame. Expired coupons will not be accepted.
  • Only one vendor coupon per item will be accepted. However, a customer may use a vendor coupon in combination with a Hy-Vee coupon on the same item.
  • Coupon values that exceed the price of the item will not be accepted.
  • Soft drink container caps will be accepted.
Due to increased fraud, the following two additional rules apply to internet coupons:
  • Vendor coupons that involve any kind of free product will not be accepted, including “buy one, get one free” offers.
  • A Store Director has authority to set monetary limitations (for example, $2.50 per coupon) for the acceptance of internet coupons at the Store Director’s store.

HyVee deals worth mentioning this week:

-- Unilever promo w/4 Tresemme and 2 County Crock = $20.56 - $5 store coupon - $2.50*4 for the Tresemme (have to mix and match your products to abide by the 2 like coupon rule such that you can use two of each type of the $2.50/1) - $0.55*2 Country Crock peelies = $4.46 and submit for various ibotta credits on the Tresemme. (I got back $5 to make it free. Alas, my store had a pretty limited selection.)

-- Activia $2.50 - $1 coupon - $0.05 gas credit (* 20 gal = $1) = $0.50

-- Pillsbury refrigerated cookies $2.50*2 - 2*$1 IPs from Pillsbury site last month - $1/2 Savingstar credit = $1/package

-- Progresso Recipe Starter $0.98 - $0.50/1 IP - $0.50 Savingstar credit = free

-- Progresso soups $0.98*8 - 4*$0.50/2 IPs - $2/8 Savingstar credit = $0.48/can

-- Smart Taste pasta $1.00*2 - $1/2 IP from Facebook - $0.04 gas credit (* 20 gal = $0.80) = $0.10/box or bag

-- Thought about checking out the Kellogg's deal, but we're still overflowing from the last sale. ETA: well, heck, I typed that and another Savingstar thing just popped up for me: "Save $2.00 on Milk when you purchase any FOUR (4) Kellogg's® Cereals, 12 ct. Pop-Tarts® toaster pastries and/or Keebler® Cookies (Any Flavor, Mix or Match) AND Milk (Any Brand, Any Flavor, 1 Gallon or Larger)." May have to check that out after all.

Hy Vee has added "digital coupons" which can be loaded to your fuel saver card. You have to create and online Hy Vee account and link your card number but I tried yesterday with the Purex on sale and it did work. https://www.hy-vee.com/shop/coupons/

They also updated their mobile app and I"m not crazy about the new format. They did incorporate one feature I asked for - if you set up a grocery list in your online account on your computer, the shopping list can then show up on the android app. However now they made it so difficult to navigate to the list in the app that its frustrating.

I have several coupons already and plan on making several transactions at several Hy-Vee's.

10% off at Hy-Vee or Lowe's? I'm planning on using a mover's coupon at Lowe's.

Has anybody heard if they are doing the little chest freezer deal again? That's usually February or March, I think.

I just found out that some stores are still offering 5¢ off for each reusable bag you bring in (and use)!

It's up to the individual store manager to set the discount policy, but a quick call to your Hy-Vee will let you know if they offer it or not. My store has it, but I never knew about it since it's not displayed (like Target does with signs at every register!).

Gotta love surprise discounts!

They do that here too. Sometimes I have to remind the cashier to enter the discount, so its good to know that they're supposed to give it.

Go 'Clones. Smilie

Ok, I have tried twice to post this. Sorry so late. Today is the last day this will work.

IF you have Fareway in your area, and IF your HV will pricematch Fareway. Select Kellogg's cereals are 1.99 with a coupon to save $4 wyb 4, makes them .99 each. Its on front page of Fareway ad. Use whatever MQ's you have. HyVee has a catalina deal that will produce a $3 Cat when you buy 4 Kellogg's. Also Checkout51 has $1 back wyb 2 Corn Pops.

Also Fareway has Tuna Helper 2/$1 limit 2. Buy a 3rd one at regular price, use .75/3 insert MQ, and get .75 back from Saving* also.

Quoting myself because I just tried the cereal deal. My store did not have the smaller size Corn Pops specified. I got 1 Rice Krispies and 3 Froot Loops. They honored the PM, so got them for $3.96. Used $1/3 coupon, got $3 Catalina back.
