Coupon Policy:

Hy-Vee is happy to redeem your coupons. The following rules apply when accepting vendor coupons clipped from newspapers or magazines, received by mail, or obtained legitimately from the internet:
  • The coupon must be legible.
  • The coupon should have a scannable bar code (UPC) and a remittable manufacturer’s address.
  • Coupons must have an expiration date and must be used within the stated time frame. Expired coupons will not be accepted.
  • Only one vendor coupon per item will be accepted. However, a customer may use a vendor coupon in combination with a Hy-Vee coupon on the same item.
  • Coupon values that exceed the price of the item will not be accepted.
  • Soft drink container caps will be accepted.
Due to increased fraud, the following two additional rules apply to internet coupons:
  • Vendor coupons that involve any kind of free product will not be accepted, including “buy one, get one free” offers.
  • A Store Director has authority to set monetary limitations (for example, $2.50 per coupon) for the acceptance of internet coupons at the Store Director’s store.

Any news on the BF ad? Are they doing GCs again?
They had a non-BF ad in the paper yesterday (you can view it online...it's says "holiday home sale" on the front) with this page on the back....

Great quote from a guest on Oprah...

"It is hard to ask for help when you are drowning and your mouth is already full of water."Reach out a hand to those that need it before their mouth is full of water and it is too late.

Does anyone still read this thread? I miss others' finds. In that vein . . .

Viva paper towels B1G1 in this week's ad. $9.99 at my store. $9.99 B1G1 - two $1/1 in 1/3 SS or on pickupthevalues site and get back $3 catalina for buying 2. Cat runs through 1/24/16. Works out to $2.49 per 6 or 8 pack.

Think Cottonelle would be similar, but my HyVee was sold out. $8.99 B1G1 - two $0.75/1 coupons and get back $2 cat for buying 2 --> $2.75/pack. Cat runs through 1/24/16 as well.

Cottage cheese is $1.99 B1G1 at my store too. Was happy to get the 24 oz. tubs for $0.99 each.

Doritos B1G1 at $3.99 - Hopster $1/1 IPs = $0.99/bag. If you have those Hopster coupons (NLA), they're limit 1 per transaction, but I had 2 different kinds when the IPs were up.

Interestingly, our local HyVee had a snail mail coupon batch go out a few weeks ago. Included were 5 lbs potatoes and half-gallon milk for $0.77 if you spent $25+. Spent $25.47 including those $0.77 store coupons. Everything was dandy until my manufacturer coupons took the total to under $25. Potatoes and milk then went back to full price. Manager and I had a lovely discussion about manufacturer coupons being a form of payment (my stance) and not a discount (her stance). Does this happen at all HyVees, or am I the only nut to just hit the threshold and then try to take the total down?

I'm still subscribed to the thread. Haven't had much time to read anything on SD for months, but I'm trying to get back into it. Hope there are more people reading too. Thanks for the paper towel deal, even though I'm late.

I can't remember if I've even tried a threshold coupon like that. I know I've never had an issue with coupons there. They ran a deal a few weeks ago, that gave $5 off when you purchased $20 in Nestle frozen products. Tombstone pizza was 3/10 and I had B3G1 q's. But that would mean I bought 8 so I could use both my q's, so I did just hit the $20 mark.

I am also still subscribed, although it has been quite a long time since I couponed and I'm trying to get back into it a bit.....we'd moved out of the city and it was just impossible. We just moved back into the city, nearer to things, so I'm trying to get back into it more Smilie Truthfully I just get most of my basics at Aldi around here and only go to HV/Fareway if there's something I can't get there or is a spectacular deal (which seem few and far between, lol.) The Cottonelle was a good deal here but we were so stocked up on TP that I didn't have much room for more. Cottage cheese was more at our store, although it was still a pretty good deal with the B1G1 so I did pick some up.

I just came looking for this thread..... And happy to see activity, ha... I could have sworn the thread was locked and dead last time I tried to post.

I may or may not have stumbled on to something last night. Long story short I had a $500 rebate card I needed to use before monthly fees hit. ( MasterCard rebate card.). I bought a $500 Amex gift card with it, paid the purchase fee of 5.95 with cash. With the gift card fuel savor this week, that gave me $2.00 in fuel saver money... ( To me that equates to 20 X $2= $40)

So...since an Amex gift card is a normal form of payment,.... other than being embarrassed to do it..... What stops me from buying another $500 Amex gift card with the gift card I just purchased and get the same perk? Or.... Is there some possible way that the register doesn't allow the purchase? Thoughts?

Checked my hyvee ad and it does show amex gc as eligible this week for fuel. Offer valid until 2/16. I think u can roll cards but never purchased one to confirm. I know u can use visa and mc cards to pay for new cards. Our gas is less $2 right now but still a good deal, I think.

Thanks.... Yes, when gas is less than the fuel saver total you have., you do not lose the excess, but the original expiration date still applies to your overage.... so, if gas is $1.49, the extra $.51 would still be on my fuel saver balance.

I may wait until closer to 2/16 to test the rolling, since I probably can't use 2 tanks of gas in 30 days if it does work. Although, I am sure we have enough vehicles we could fill up... But, this is one offer that I am a little chicken to try....

Well.... Today I mustered up my courage to roll my $500 Amex gift card. It did work....but the same manager that authorized the first purchased came in out of the shadows, (I had looked for her, but hadn't seen her working, or I never would have tried. Mainly cause her typical demeanor is a grumpy Gus.). I am quite sure she recognized me, and asked me for my ID and wanted to see the form of payment I was using..... The cashier was just anxious to get things moving, and jumped in and said ...it should work, and I just chimed in and said... Let's give it a try... If it don't it don't. She walked away with a scowl. Today gas is $1.39.... So, I will probably not do it again regardless. But, if I do, I will definitely go to another store.
