I had 3 pack of Deco M9+ that I bought at Costco. I recently upgraded to a faster internet tier. The M9+ were GREAT vs the original Nighthawk R7000 single router I had. But the M9+ was topping out around 150-200mbps in many places, and in certain places I could get more like 250-300.
With the X68, plus a change in the placement of my main Deco (I moved it to the other side of the home office room where it is 10 feet closer to the 2nd and 3rd unit now), I can get 350-550mbps to my phone depending on where I am and who else is using the network.
Note you WANT TRI-BAND (which this is). Someone else mentioned the W6000 which is dual band. Unless you are wiring each of the satellites with ethernet, then you want TRI-BAND.
Note also that this Costco is basically a 3-pack of X68 units. Walmart also sells "W7200" which is basically a 2-pack of X68 units (the Walmart ones look to have a slightly different shape of black plastic top but I think they are otherwise functionally identical to an X68, and the Deco app shows "X68/W7200" as one listing for a type of equipment.
Hope this helps. If you only have 200mbps service or something and are already getting those speeds on your M9s then I wouldn't bother upgrading. I you have much faster internet then this X68 should be a speed upgrade for you

One name. But you can disable the 5ghz while you setup 2.4ghz devices. No way to separate SSID's.

All my 2.4Ghz devices picked up the correct band.
The Asus mesh allows you to separate the bands, this TP Link does not.
I am waiting for the price on the Asus (https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-ZenWi...r=8-4&th=1) to drop.

Basically everywhere in the house I'm pegging my speed test at what my internet speed is.
The only issue I have is the homeshield/parental control that sits behind a paywall. But it's enough to be able to control my kids internet and I can group device basted on family members (son, daughter, wife) to monitor their time online.
It says there are ethernet ports per unit. Would you think you get a better speed if possible to mount one of the satellite next to your pc, and use the ethernet connection instead to it directly, atleast for a speed test. This is how I have a remote pc set up as.
