We did Disney this year with a 7 1/2 yr old boy and 5 yr old boy. I fully expected to not enjoy Epcot since I loathed it as a kid. EEK! laugh out loud But let me tell you, they have the Kim Possible attraction now and it was all we could do to get our kids out of World Showcase! Here is the excerpt from disney:
"Location: World Showcase, Epcot Theme Park
Disney's Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure is a highly interactive quest at Epcot theme park based on the Disney Channel animated series, Kim Possible. Transform into secret agents, join Team Possible and help save the world from super-villains with the help of a high-tech "Kimmunicator"."

The kids get "cell-phones" to communicate with a command post, and each time they solve a clue they interact with a different part of the world showcase. Plan to spend some serious time on this one because they will quickly realize that they get a different adventure in each country. We spent so much time on this, that we almost missed one of our fastpasses!

My daughter can not wait to do this. We didnt make it to epcot in March so I promised her in June we would go. It has been 5 years since I have been to Epcot, but besides the Kim Possible was there anything else a 7 year old might like?

Yes, small steps are good because I still have to get over the fact that he had feelings for another girl! So I have my own issues to work on.

Now, if I can find a way to romance a guy... cant bring him flowers for a date and he wont eat chocolate!

I do have a Christian family therapist that I am seeing and maybe the kids as well. Their first day back, I did call all the schools and let them know what was going on. So far no issues in school.

As for DH, there is progress. He did sit down for almost 3hrs with me and talk. He is willing to go to counseling with me and separately and willing to try and make things work. Its a step I say...

I think the "I was getting my french pastries on" was what made me laugh out loud

Compassion, understanding and patience.

He plans to, but some of the stuff going on is stuff I did years ago... so I am partially to blame. Not for whats going on now, but for past stuff... this is ALL him. But there is no reason I cant romance him a bit too. Maybe a new book or CD.

That was my homework after meeting with my Pastor last week! I had to read that several times! Last night he got plenty of compassion, understanding and patience while he expressed what has been going on in his head. Geesh, I wish he told ME and not her first but at least I know whats going on and hopefully we can move foward and be stronger for it in the long run. I know I am a stronger person now than before I had to deal with it!

Thanks for that today... There are times that all of us need others to have extra patience and compassion for us.. I know I do everyday at some point! sometimes it is so hard to give to others, but always worth it in the long run. If we want compassion, we need to show compassion. I love that verse!

on a deal related note.. I am now out of my JJ and MP juice box stash.. I have those nice 1.00 capri sun qs.. where can I get my best deal on capri sun? Sadly, my kmart doesn't double and my kroger only doubles to .50. I think they are on sale for 1.79 at kroger, but wondered if there was a better deal to be had. I wish the target coupon was not for the 20 pack! anyone can PM me a deal??

I've been reading on the internet about various gifts for you. There are some good sites for newlywed gifts...these are good marriage building gifts so I thought maybe they would appeal to you.

The men all agree that lingerie is a nice gift...for both you. You wear it and he enjoys you wearing it Wink

My favorite idea was a board game. Something that may open the door to spending more time together.

HERE [uncommongoods.com] is a link for uncommon gifts. These are cute.

I wouldn't give lingerie quite so soon. I agree that a gift that will open up communication and allow you to reconnect and grow emotionally would be a great start.

Here is probably the best thing my husband and I did during Retrouvaille...throughout the program we separately journalled for 15 minutes about a variety of topics. Then we would rejoin and swap journals. The hardest but most valuable one was for 1 hour and when the hour was done we read them to each other. We went to a quiet area....thankfully my quiet area was back to the hotel room and journalled on "why I want to go on living". I was bawling before I even got to the room and called my mom on my cell phone when en route to ask for her prayers. It was an amazing hour to take stock on all of the valuable things in my life. I recall even writing, I want to go on living so I can make your morning coffee. Simple little ordinary things that I couldn't imagine anyone else doing for him. Ugh I was a big mushy mess but I was able to talk about him and our daughter and my family and our faith and all of the important things in my life.

Great I am such a big Crying2 baby...tears are rolling down my face at work.

Oh, this baby boy is really kicking. Mama needs to get her calm on.

Good thing I have Kleenex Wink5
