I don't know your financial situation, but I know when I was 25 I barely made $1281/mo take home, let alone could afford that as a car payment.

The rule of thumb is no more than 10% of your take home pay should be your car payment (and no more than 20% for car related expenses in total, ie gas and insurance). So unless you're making $150k/year TAKE HOME, then it generally wouldn't be considered a wise decision.

You can find these for $12k off MSRP, $5k discount isn't particularly great

Assuming this is a serious question and that you are an average income earner.. How much do you think the lease alone would cost? Plus, there is a good reason you hardly see any a8 & s8 on the road. They are luxury cars for people who have luxury money. AKA 1% of us.

Chances are you are a regular person making regular money. Stick to a regular priced car Big Grin and don't even think about an old ass 7 series that you think you can "afford".

On the other hand, if you're actually rich then your question means something different. The question becomes, is this a good lease for a rich 25 year old to look good / feel good / drive good because it's no longer a question about the value of the lease. And in that case, it is a matter of taste isn't it?

Leasing any car is probably a bad idea for anyone, at any age (some obvious exceptions)

Sweet spot for this car is used 2019+. You get the new interior without the new price. Might even still have factory warranty left, depending on mileage. Be advised some of the depreciation with these hasn't happened yet. You really should wait another year before pursuing, but if you want one now this is the cheapest route

You do you, but if you are seriously considering an a8 then you better have deep pockets. And then if you have deep pockets, why would you buy a used one? This advice doesn't consider insurance, repair costs, maintenance, and taxes.
