Edit: according to the reviews these also hold blu-rays so NFC why they don't include that in the title. In for one to replace some damages cases.

No idea why these types of cases didn't become mainstream. Can fit twice the many discs and would cost less in packing and shipping for manufacturers. Don't really need them now but there's still use for these cases (backup bluray).

I've gotten several boxes of these thru the years for my Blu-ray burns and they work great! Also, I seem to remember the price being about double this price last year.
