  • Harry has faced terrible odds before. He has a long history of fighting enemies above his weight class. The Red Court of vampires. The fallen angels of the Order of the Blackened Denarius. The Outsiders.
  • But this time it's different. A being more powerful and dangerous on an order of magnitude beyond what the world has seen in a millennium is coming. And she's bringing an army. The Last Titan has declared war on the city of Chicago, and has come to subjugate humanity, obliterating any who stand in her way.
  • Harry's mission is simple but impossible: Save the city by killing a Titan. And the attempt will change Harry's life, Chicago, and the mortal world forever.

Yep, it was sad when the TV series got canceled.

A fun series, though this isn't the one to start with, obviously.

Recent books are going for 9.99 so this is a pretty good price for a fun series by a decent author.

You can probably read the rest for free via Libby or Hoopla if you get a library card.

I really enjoy this series. I've been listening to the audiobooks narrated by James Marsters. Awesome audio series. I've not gotten to this one yet though

Obviously don't start with this one, but if you're looking at the series, go ahead and get this title for the price. I prefer the audiobooks which are wonderfully narrated by James Marsters, and found the recommendation on an audible post when I was looking to burn some credits before canceling. It's years later and I've purchased every book and still have my audible subscription in part due to how much I've enjoyed this series. This series really got me back into literature when I was looking for something to listen to during a long daily commute a couple years back.

For anyone looking for more magic in a "modern" technological world, I also enjoyed the Black Ocean series (all three of the completed series are available for an audible credit each and are each between 60 and 80 hours each, if you want to talk about value).

It's probably for the best. Only the medium of animation could do the books justice (being cheap enough to cover the material in full faithfully) and I don't see any adaptation on the horizon.

Great series indeed. Definitely try the audiobook. Better experience than reading in my opinion. Personally, I don't think the last 3~4 book were as good as the early ones.
