If you have the Costco credit card, this warranty becomes 7 years
Neither of those statements are true. Only thing the C1 has going for it is VRR. The 77" panel of the A80J Is an evo panel that's unlocked so it's brighter than the 55" or 65" models. The 77" C1 is evo supposedly but software locked.

The sony also just beats out LG for image quality so not sure what you mean. Side by side screens really show how crushed LG is compared and upscaling is also much better as well as calibration out of the box.

Nice. Any reason to buy the 65" at Costco for $200 more? Not sure the 2 year warranty is worth it.

Debating this as well. I can pick up the Costco locally which is nice. There is the warranty which you mentioned, and Costco also has a 90 day return policy for TVs. So if they drop the price in the next 90 days you can submit a price match request or just return and rebuy.

Sweet, was waiting for this drop ahead of the SB.

I don't have the prime card but I used my gf's, so it didn't show the 10% back on the page (rather it showed the offer for getting the prime card)... pretty sure it should be alright though.

I don't see the 10% offer using the Amazon card - is that offer buyer-specific?

Need Amazon Prime card, says it right below the price. Make sure the seller is Amazon.

Ahh I don't actually have the Amazon card, so that probably explains why the 10% offer doesn't show up. I do see in a section below that I can get an automatic $100 gift card upon approval of the Amazon card. I wonder if I could get both offers (apply and get the $100 gift card, then perhaps the offer for 10% off the TV would show up)?

Yes I think so. The Prime card is great - if you buy from Amazon or Whole Foods.

If you buy at Costco make sure you take into account the cash back on a Costco Visa card (2%) and executive membership rewards (2%).

I forgot Costco also has the 3 year Allstate warranty which sounds good, no deductible.

Still watching the deals on the 77" version. Been sitting at $2898 since last week and it appears BB will keep it there until 2/13 per signage in store.

My issue is still whether I need to go for the extended warranty and which version is best. BestBuy's Geeksquad for 5 yrs is $625 - but covers accidental burn in and seems to be the least hassle (Assuming BB exists).

Costco's warranty being included in the price for the Allstate/Squaretrade is appealing but does not cover burn in. Amazon's Asurion warranty doesn't say either way but appears to not based on reviews / feedback on the plan details - at a cost of $189 I assume it doesn't.

This is by far the most expensive TV I'd be buying and maybe I'm overthinking the warranty... the internet has me freaked about screen burn in on these things! Anyone else struggling with this or am I just paranoid!

I am also really considering the a80j - but I am thinking of green toe and using upsie. for the warranty.

Amazon won't price match from purchase in December. Considering ordering and then returning the new one. Thoughts? Is that too horrible a thing to do?
