This is the lowest price I have seen for the CPU except for an instore-only Microcenter $200 price that wasn't available to many folks.
The processor has fast integrated graphics and is a good choice for a fast office computer or HTPC, and even for light gaming if you don't want to plunk out for an overpriced GPU right now. It only has PCIE3, but folks looking to use the iGPU probably do not care much.
AMD used to be the value leader in CPUs, but Intel is roaring back in this respect. you buy [cpubenchmark.net] a somewhat [gadgetversus.com] faster [nanoreview.net] Intel Core i5-12400 Alder Lake 6C/12T LGA 1700 for $198.99 (Promo Code EMCBN2A53) coupon expired now $208.99 from Newegg [newegg.com]. But a compatible LGA1700 motherboard is probably about $40? more expensive than a AM4 board that will work with the Ryzen.
