i'm 4 months in, coming from the 3a to 5a, and hate this thing. I swear the 2 year old 3a performed daily tasks more reliably.
The camera and battery are better, but overall it's not much of an upgrade. I never thought I'd consider moving to an iphone, but this thing has me cursing android.
Strange. I went from the 3 to the 5a and think it's a significant upgrade (except for lack of wireless charging). I'm really enjoying the 5a.
Waiting for $299 without Fi, just plain unlocked.

Same here...The 5a is my favorite Pixel of all time. Like it much better than the 6 Pro I sold...

If you're not desperate, $150 off is still not a deal.

Same. Love the 5a that I bought with the 3 month trial of Google Fi in November. Much to my surprise Google tried to charge me $70 in December for service. When I contacted Google Fi customer service, the agent redefined the 3 month free trial as pay 3 months, then get 3 months for free.

I said "Fi that" and canceled service immediately.

5a is an awesome phone though. Use it way more than my iPhone 12.

Don't know what you're talking about. $299 is a steal for 5a.

I grabbed a 5a 5g during the Black Friday sale and I'm extremely pleased. Especially for the price, a super solid phone for me so far.

It was $399 during Dec for the unlocked and had inflated trade in value. Like $320 for iPhone XR.
I can't convince this is a deal as it is $299+$60 for service for three mos before you could take it elsewhere.
Also the trade in with FI was horrible, like $135 for the iphone XR and you could get $230 trade in for the unlocked 5a at Google site.
