Example of my county sale price [knhome.org] (you have to pickup in person) for 2022.
You may be surprised that your home may have elevated Radon levels (that needs mitigation device) and your neighbor across the street has nearly undetectable Radon levels. i.e. do not rely on Radon levels of your neighbor to make assumption that you are also safe.

Here in Minnesota radon is an issue in many homes, even brand new ones. Don't assume if your house isn't old or leaky that you don't have radon present. We bought one of these after our mitigation unit was installed and it's great having peace of mind that is working. Purchased back in October of 2019 and originally batteries just the other day showed low battery indicator.

But if it's just you and one property, go for the kits instead. Much slower with the mailing back and forth, but cheaper.
I'm in a zone 3 risk region (highest). I went from 36 before mitigation to 2 after. Absolute accuracy I didn't really care about, honestly. If it was 50% off, so what. If it reads 2 and I'm somewhere between 1.5 to 3, good to go, it's below the recommended limit of 4. Likewise on the high end. A 36 reading that means 25 to 45, good enough to know I need mitigation.
Recommended.
I have this Corentium device to keep an eye on things since our mitigation system was installed and it seems to work well as compared to third party tests that have been done.

They're likely making headroom for their Airthings Wave Plus ($200~) that does Radon + CO2, VOC, Humidity, Temp, and Pressure.
My point is, there's no urgency on this price. If you don't get it today, set a deal alert and get it next $99 day.

My public library and tool library did not have a radon test tool to borrow.
Looked at map, and Western WA is low risk - but has some risk.
Figure one day I'll purchase an one time Radon Test Kit.
WA Department on Health offers to send a limited amount of free kits to residents early. I went this route with a simple address form.
Thanks All
