In terms of sound quality, I'd rank them 1. Sony, 2. airpod pros, 3. Bose, but Bose and airpod sounds are neck and neck and not far behind the Sonys.
In terms of comfort, I'd rank them 1. airpod, 2. bose, 3. Sony. The Bose are pretty large, but they are comfortable for the size.
In terms of phone call quality, I'd rank them 1. airpod pros, 2. bose, 3. Sony
In terms of noise cancelling, they're all excellent, but a slight edge goes to Sony due to the tight ear tip fit which helps physically seal off any outside noise.
For my personal fit, Bose fit the best by far. Both the airpod pros and Sonys would fall out of my ear if I was talking or chewing and I've tried alternate eartips on both.
Also, I didn't like how phone calls sounded on the Sonys because of the tight, enclosed fit of the ear tips. You can hear yourself talking muffled inside your head - regardless of if you have the aware mode on or off. This tight fit is great for noise cancelling, not so much for phone calls.
The Bose case is almost 2x/3x as big as the airpod pro and Sony case, but it's still compact enough.
You can't go wrong with all 3, but I'd recommend Bose if you've had any issues with fit on the airpod pros or Sonys.

Depends on what you mean by better . I have the Samsung buds pro and these are more comfortable and have more features. Sound wise it's a wash but everything else is better on these .

Did some digging myself. Here are the main differences (to my knowledge):
1. Fit seems to be slightly better with Bose. I had no issues with WF 1000 XM4s, but seems like it can be painful for some.
2. Sony has LDAC, while Bose only has AAC. No aptx or LDAC.
3. Battery life is better in Sony.
4. Sony has default Ambient mode enabled for calls, which is my biggest gripe with them. Bose does not seem to have this.
I wanted to see if this can be a good replacement for WF XM4 that I had to send back because of it being defective.
Overall, personally, I will wait for another deal for refurbished Sony WF XM4s.
