Q: What does the JASMY platform allow users to do?
A: Protect and take ownership of their data
Q: What is the JASMY token used for?
A: To access datasets on the JSMY marketplace
Q: Which region does JASMY currently focus on?
A: Asia
Can someone familiar with this stuff explain in laymans terms the pros / cons of the self-custody wallet?
My initial reaction is to wonder if this move is to transfer risk / liability of theft or hacks from Coinbase to the user if the user is the one in control or charge of the wallet? And thus provide less protection / recourse against fraud / loss of crypto assets.

Thanks! I just claimed mine. It was super easy once I got into my account.
Wish people wouldn't post the answers here. I know it's inevitable but it's not like you can fail the quizzes. And you know they're looking at the user engagement time. Maybe it's just because the user base has grown so much, but they used to give more money and the quizzes would stay active much longer.
Can't remember the last time I saw anything over like $3 let alone the $10 and $15 you used to get

That happened last summer. The rewards are lower so more people can take it. If they didnt change it, everyone would be joining the waitlist by now. I dont recall any as high as $15 though.

That is certainly part of it, but a self-custody or non-custodian wallet are also just more robust. More and more hosted wallets are unable to actually use advanced crypto technologies. For example, ETH 2 is generally incompatible with custodial wallets. Even when they do work the security and robustness is less than ideal.
For example, Coinbase won't guarantee newly staked ETH2 against losses from network instability.
So you will leave it to original minor currency or you will immediately switch to some major currency?
I usually always convert it to something else. This time I put it into SHIB, no money out of my pocket so if it goes down I won't be upset, and now I am over the 1,000,000 SHIB mark! š

That's when I noticed a reduction.
I can't recall which were real high. I swear one was like $30 at the beginning, but after a quick look at a couple coins I have I know compound COMP and stellar lumens XLM were both $10. Too many to go through to find the highest value ones.

Don't forget that this is taxable. It will also be taxable when you sell it.
This is dumb
