Good to know, thank you! I have a 6900xt so it sounds like I would benefit from it even more.
It is a testament to how good it is but I can't finish it. I am simply too much of a wus. The game at times is too intense for me. And that's not even talking about JEFF. You can watch on YouTube but it's not 1/10th of what it feels like in VR. There were many moments where my heart was racing so much I had to stop.
I agree if you play on quest 2, which I suspect most of us are, the best route is virtual desktop. I even have the link cable but it runs better on VD for whatever reasons
Regarding chasing the dragon for games this good….my recommendation is play galaxies edge game WITH the added content purchase. That is THE signature game for the Quest 2. All of the other games, and I have played a lot of them, feel like very low grade Nintendo Wii games
The galaxies edge game when you factor in the add on content like the IG88 quest is simply amazing. They took all the lessons they captured in the Vader games and applied it to this game.
whats sad is the quest controllers are garbage, the game is quite a bit different if you get a chance to play with index controllers (prohibitively expensive though, $580 for the base stations and controllers)
What makes the index controllers so much better, in your opinion?
I played through all of Alyx on a quest two and didn't feel like I missed anything. So you're comment comes if as typical Quest bashing
Don't go laptop. Build a proper gaming rig and ascend to join the PCMR. Even a GTX 1070 plays this just fine so you don't need a super expensive set up

What is your budget? You can RUN it on just about anything, but if you want a decent experience I will make a suggestion but are you constrained by a budget or what?

Of course you can't. This has nothing to do with settings. You can't magically upgrade the Oculus's screen resolution. This is such a weird question that it sounds like a troll.
