About this deal:
For reference, this offer is $4.12 lower (41.24% savings) than the current $9.99 sale price for Digital Copy of this game from PlayStation Store.
This game has an endless supply of charm and artistry, but I'll be damned if I can think of even a handful of RPGs that bored me more. Just felt like a waste of an amazing presentation.
Couldn't agree more. Beautiful game and art, great music, but the most egregious slog of a game I've ever quit at 20 hrs in. It got to a point where I was dreading even playing it to try to get my money's worth out of it. Finally gave up and gave it to a friend.
That said, $6 is worth the attempt for those who haven't played it. The art really carries the game. And for those who love grinding, boy are you in for a treat when you realize how much time you have to put in to level up your monsters.
I thought it was a great adventure. It's one of the few games I enjoyed enough to 100% completion.

Yes! Thank you! This game is so boring. I put a ton of hours into it, just because everyone said it was such an amazing game, and I was trying my absolute best to just push through it, hoping it would eventually win me over. I finally gave up, probably 30+ hours in. I just couldn't do it anymore. The second game, that everyone seems to hate, is soooo much better. This one has such a boring story, and crazy boring gameplay. The combat basically plays itself. I generally beat every game I start, even when I don't really care for it, but I just couldn't waste anymore time with this one.
I enjoyed the game and the main story. It is a children's story and JRPG, so it's not the most challenging narrative. I think Studio Ghibli's involvement set high expectations for the story. If you do get it, do not waste your time on the post game non-story with the weird rabbit.

Interesting to read this. I haven't played it since 2011 but I loved it. I think I had more patience and youth back then, lol.
