It's good stuff, but just about every recent food deal from Amazon recently has ended up being close to expiration and the reason it's discounted. THIS IS A LOT, can't imagine anyone going through this much in a few years--of course, UNLESS you are familiar with it and know you'll use it. But I bet it expires in 2-4months, Amazon should state that, when it's the reason for the discount.

No for giving to your kitty. Several ingredients are not ideal for cats, but cats especially do not do well with lots of sodium. I would avoid using this. A tiny, tiny dusting on their food once in a rare while would be unlikely to cause real harm, but I don't think they'd appreciate it enough to make it worth it. Every cat is different, but I personally find mine really likes meat with lots of broth. Or even just broth poured on kibble. Not from bullion or store-bought, way too much sodium for them - I just buy some boneless, skinless chicken breasts or some meat and cook it with a little water in the instant pot. Shred it good, then save both meat and the juices in the pot - the resulting broth is something he goes crazy for. I also save shrimp tails/shells/etc, crab shells, fish skin, any seafood-like parts that I'd throw away, store them in a freezer bag in the freezer as I get them, then when I have enough, I toss them in the instant pot with water for a good while and make a seafood broth, sometimes also with a few cat-sage veggie "trash" parts (carrot tops or tips or peels I'd throw away, etc, for flavoring, strained put of the broth, before shredding the meat in the broth obviously). Just strain the broth good and skim off most fat. Can do the same with animal bones, cartilage, etc (but beware that skin especially, while flavorful, can be very fatty and the broth will need to be skimmed off a lot at the end, look up techniques for skimming fat off liquid).

Broth can actually be frozen in ice cube trays then popped out and stored in freezer bags in the freezer to heat and use as needed, too. My cat goes crazy for it. I can't give him store-bought, even "reduced sodium" chicken broth has him drinking 4x as much water for 24 hrs and pissing like crazy. Not good for them.

I know this mostly from my relatives living in the Banat region. It is good for quick soups, not far from bouillon cubes, which are readily available virtually everywhere in the US. Not for hobby cooks or dedicated chefs, they have specific condiments for different dishes.

You can compare it with the Hungarian Delikat, but in my opinion all these "miracle ingredients" have become more and more alike, it probably has to do with the acquisition of their companies by the big multinational food companies.

Use a small amount of this with egg soup noodles and you'll get an approximation of ramen.

Is it good seasoning? Sure. It tries really hard to be the best seasoning, but ultimately it never measures up to Kakarot Seasoning.

....at least not for more than an episode or two.

This stuff tastes good but too much Madison Square Garden for my tastes.

Also this site needs to rethink downvoting. Every product if you dare point out it not being healthy you get buried. It's perfectly justified to bring that up. It's becoming worse than reddit at this point.
