The solution to the fingerprint issue is to add your fingerprint a bunch of times and it works much better. I added my thumbprint 4 times and now it works well

Trying to make sense to why Google Fi can offer $500 discount on a Samsung phone, but only $200 off a device made by Google.

Welcome to Google. The strategy is made by someone who has a Harvard degree and sure enough I don't understand either

Serious question here, why would anyone use a finger print reader when Apple basically uses the best "Face ID" in a cellphone in existence.

After they ditched the prehistoric finger print reader the Face ID is the best feature ever, it's literally not a problem for anyone.

I own a 12 Max Pro, even in a 100% complete dark room the light from the screen will recognize and unlock your phone instantly
Anyone that has a picture of you can unlock it with a 20$ 3d printed mask. Anyone can just hold it up to your face while you sleep and unlock it. Really dumb idea

DXO camera rating
Pixel 6 132 score
Sam S22 126 score

Do note that the speakers on the S22 get pretty poor reviews.

I'm on the fence between a Pixel 6 and an S22. Most people seem to only really complain about the slow/inaccurate fingerprint sensor. But every now and then someone brings up the connectivity issues. How prevalent is this? I really like the Pixel line especially for photos and additional Google software, like Call Screening and Live Translation. But connectivity is crucial for me for both voice and data. How often do you have issues with poor/no signal?

Samsung's hardware just looks so much better on paper (even though their photos still lags a little behind) but I'm so iffy on their software. It annoys me when my wife hands me her S20FE to find something on her phone or change a setting.
22u camera is so far above the pixel 6 it's embarrassing

22u? lol
The S22 while having a good camera, falls short of Pixel 6 performance.

You're not unlocking an iPhone with your eyes closed.

You read the post wrong. You must maintain 4 months of service (120 days) or you'll owe the other $200 dollars.

To be fair, Samsung phone prices are ridiculously jacked up to begin with, so it's easier to create an illusion of larger discounts.

There are no free months, in order to be able to keep your discount you have to use google fi's plan for four consecutive months.

The title is seriously misleading then.

I find it funny that so many people complain about this.

Name another MVNO that does give existing customers deals? This is just the MVNO game; pretty easy to play if you are ok with porting around. MNO's have sales but usually with bill credits over extended periods and easily make it up via service costs.

The pro is bigger. This is probably medium size compared to recent models but still feels like a decently large phone.
