Price keeps dropping.
Two days ago it was $622.
Awesome deal at $591.
Have this TV.
Super great display. Rivals my 2018 OLED.
This is almost 1/3 the cost of a OLED of similar size.
Only thing is that it can't do 120hz over HDMI and no VRR.
But this TV is amazing other than that.

Ive had not so great experience.

Bought an LG BX Oled once, it broke down in 2 days & they refused to exchange it. I had to call them constantly and keep complaining then they exchanged.

Then last year i ordered an Hisense U8G. They legit sent the wrong tv. They made send pictures & opened a special investigation, several days in still didn't replace the tv.

So i canceled the entire order, got it from bestbuy.

Seriously considered this, but reading the Amazon reviews a lot of apparently quality issues.

I'm too old and lack the patience to expose myself to potentially having to deal with repairs or returns or buggy software updates to work through, or having to buy a new one in a year after the warranty (which seems common).

I pulled the trigger on the Costco Sony OLED instead. yeah, it is a grand more, but it will end up having 5 years worth of warranty, and Sony has a track record. Amortized over 5 years it is worth a dollar a day to have the better tv and avoid potential hassles.

I've also heard and read that Hisense sort of forces you into what can only be described as agreeing to "surveillance"....

I am just always a little dubious of the pretty new kid on the block as they often run into issues in terms of quality and support. Vizio was the bomb 10 years ago regarding value, then TCL about 5 years ago but as time went on the warts on their products and support started to show up (although I have a TCL out in my gazebo, and so far it has been a champ).. Will Hisense be the same?

amazing deal, so tempted. I want to upgrade from a 6 yrs old LG non-4k. But I think I need 70-75 inch since my old one is a 60 and feels small. This semi fills the spot. but must resist. only drawback which might not be one, is that this isnt qled or mini-led.

I got this TV last week when the price was $650. Amazon just price matched for me which was nice.

I had purchased the U6G like 1 week earlier because of the amazing reviews on rtings.com.

This H9G has even better ratings, and with the nits being 1000 vs the 600 of the U6G I jumped for it.

The screen looks MUCH brighter and more clear than the U6G. I am VERY impressed with it so far. If you need a 65" TV this is an incredible deal.
How did you get a price match? My experience with Amazon is no price adjustments, but I haven't tried in years.

I'll answer my own question. Told chat to transfer me to supervisor. Told them I ordered and received this TV for $653 days ago as did friends (that is all of you) and now the price is $591 which others have received a price match credited back to their account.
Supervisor told me it isn't part of their policy any more, but he credited me as a one-time favor anyway.

Just FYI, you don't have to connect the TV to the internet. Or if you need to update, do it and then disconnect. That's what I did with my Hisense and it's fine.

Will this be lowered? Besides the missing HDMI 2.1, how would the PQ on low bitrate (48, 720, 1080) contents be like?

Will it be good for PS5?
Counts entirely on your expectations. It lacks VRR and 120Hz, so those features of the PS5 will remain unused. However, as a display in general, it should give you a great picture, especially with HDR and local dimming. Just got to know your expectations. For the price, it's pretty much unbeatable in my opinion. The missing features are not likely going to be on a TV at this price for another few years, though I could be wrong as TVs are advancing somewhat fast at the moment.

This one or Samsung, any thoughts please -

This one 1000%. I upgraded from a similar Samsung to a U7G (somewhat similar Hisense) for my living room and the picture quality difference is huge

Thanks. I also had this experience just now. First person on the chat adamantly refused. I asked for a supervisor and they said the I would be told the same thing but would reluctantly transfer me. Supervisor was added to the chat and agreed to give me the price difference with no push back.

Because I just barely received the TV they made an exception. Its cheaper for them to match than to return and send a new one.

Thanks for flagging it. Almost 10% of the reviews are 1 star, people complaining about QC issues and horrendous customer service
Customer service is spotty with hisense… i called bc i got one that was rated "best budget outdoor tv". The wifi box crapped the bed and i was 2 days outside my 1 year manufacturer warranty. Called 2-3 different times until one CS rep escalated to manager. Had a team come out within the week and swapped out wifi box… no issues since. I will most likely buy this tv and think hisense is a great value option and can compete against all heavy hitters
