Product Info:
CV series is 80 PLUS Bronze certified, providing up to 88% efficiency for less heat and lower energy costs.
Like all CORSAIR power supplies, the CV Series does exactly what it says it does - deliver continuous power at full capacity, no matter which wattage variant you choose.
A 120mm thermally controlled low-noise cooling fan only spins at high speed when your power supply is under heavy stress, slowing down for quieter operation at lower loads.
CV series enclosures are only 125mm long, ensuring an easy fit in almost all modern PC cases.
Black sleeved cables and a black powder-coated casing seamlessly fits your PC's style.
3-year warranty backed by the CORSAIR global technical support team.

About the deal:
The Corsair CV Series CV650 650W 80+ Bronze Power Supply is $28 less (40% savings) than the list price.
Looks like a good price if modular is not needed. Any issues with choosing this PSU on the budget?
It's kind of a meh unit, it's not terrible but you wouldn't want to put anything crazy on it but it's well priced. Beats other stuff you'd find normally at this price range.
Ya, not going to win any awards but good price from a reputable company. I would just make sure to check recommended power requirements for whatever build you want, particularly the graphics card. I wouldn't use this with anything above a 3070.
I wouldn't buy this. High quality 750w and above are only a little bit more. or, stay cheap and go down to 430w silver or gold for less than this price.

I have the corsair bronze power supply for over 7 years now and I would recommend paying the extra money to the gold standard. The power supply is fine under normal workload but while heavy load the power supply makes a LOUD whining noise that is utterly annoying. You can get gold power supplies for this price as I did last summer.
650W should be sufficient for all but the most power hungry systems. Personally, I'd prefer to have a modular power supply, but gold efficiency is nice, especially if you are using your computer many hours of the day.

This is power supplies trying to keep up with the instantaneous sudden power Demand on Nvidia 3080 s or higher. But I'm sure amd will soon be having this issue on their newer power hungry cards.

Doubt you'll see much of a difference in power usage from bronze to gold in day to day use. Typically most go for gold power supllies because 9 times out of 10 they have better components. I'm sure that most would agree here that they would not hook a $700 GPU up to a $40 PSU. Not worth the gamble.
