The officially licensed digital adaptation of Wingspan, the winner of the prestigious 2019 Kennerspiel des Jahres board game award.
You are bird enthusiasts—researchers, bird watchers, ornithologists, and collectors—seeking to discover and attract the best birds to your network of wildlife preserves. Each bird extends a chain of powerful combinations in one of your habitats. Each habitat focuses on a key aspect of the growth of your preserves.
In Wingspan up to 5 players compete to build up their nature preserves in a limited number of turns. Each beautiful bird that you add to your preserve makes you better at laying eggs, drawing cards, or gathering food. Many of the 170 unique birds have powers that echo real life: your hawks will hunt, your pelicans will fish, and your geese will form a flock.
Features
* Relaxing strategy card game where your goal is to discover and attract the best birds.
* Single player and multiplayer modes for up to five players.
* Based on the award winning, competitive, medium-weight, card-driven, engine-building board game.
* Hundreds of unique, animated birds with their real life sound recordings.
* Multiple ways to accumulate points with birds, bonus cards and end-of-round goals.

Controls can be a little confusing at first, but the automation of all the moving parts makes learning the game 100x easier, compared to the physical version.
This sale is also on Steam as well, with the added benefit that you can do online multiplayer. I have physical, switch, and steam versions. I play the switch version couch co-op the most. (edit:switch now has online multiplayer with switch online sub, untested)
Steam - Wingspan PC $9.99 (50% off)

Note Eu Expansion is %10 off as well, better if you bundle.
Amazon - Wingspan (Physical) $47.33 (21% off)

(best price in a while, $7 higher than rare Target sale + coupon)

edit: Just got logged in, it's requiring NSO subscription (I don't do switch stuff online besides buying games). Just an FYI.

M/kb on pc is definitely smoother for me.. but that's not my deciding factor.. and probably why I have 3 versions of this game lol.
So i prefer the switch for couch co-op.. I love this mode because it's NOT my pc. Feels more pure, more relaxing. I use 2 full size controllers, and play with the gf. The switch controls IMHO are less intuitive to learn, but perfectly functional once you do.
Online multiplay is on pc.. my 'wingman' has her own pc but no switch.. so that's the way that one went.
Honestly I prefer the feel of the mouse, but because of couch co-op, and a side of portability, I think switch version would be my own first priority. There are ways to do steam on TV, but it's a lot less intuitive than using your switch, and ultimately cheaper to buy an extra copy than the expense of setting up living room steam play.
