Menards rebate checks never expire, and you can use them on anything in the store.

You get an $11.99 retail price item, and a $9 credit voucher. So the total / original value is $20.99. For that $20.99 value you pay only a sale price of $10.99.
It's confusing, yes, but accurate.
That being said, thanks for posting the deal. Thumbs up. I'm in for one.
Oftentimes when something happens and it doesn't make sense, it's because we don't have all the facts(or reasons).

I currently gamify the FAR or almost FAR from Menards, so I'm constantly rolling rebates.
The only thing that I do is keep a record of what I sent in and what the rebate should be.
I've had one small mistake where they credited only 6 of an item instead of 8, but they quickly fixed the issue after I contacted them.
I already purchased this impact set and it seems to be pretty decent quality. Definitely worth the 2.00 it cost me.
While the expiration dates from rewards internationally is a new twist, I did forget to mention that the "rebates" are not valid for online purchase. The rest of the "rules and terms" vary widely in enforcement dependant upon location and often from one employee to the next.
Since Menards ~335 stores are only in about 25% of the states and probably an order of magnitude less than that in U.S. population served, it's not considered a store with deals for all. Especially since they tack on a $2.80 "Processing fee" if you order online not to mention actual shipping fees on top of that. Plus, while you can earn rebates for online only shipped orders, you cannot redeem them online, only in store. So, if you have no store to use the rebate, what's the "value" in the rebate being offered anyway?
That makes many deals simply worthless to the vast majority of people here and why they are usually not well promoted; for right or wrong. I could say the same everytime a Fred Meyer , IKEA, Meijer, Nebraska Furniture Mart or AAFES deal is posted, but apparently they are deemed more worthy even if I cannot access one within 600 or more miles, if at all.
In this case, a $1.99 after rebate product will actually cost someone without a local store around $20; after the inability to use the rebate received, plus the near $3 online ordering processing fee, plus the actual shipping fees. That's why you see so much negativity on most Menards deals. And I point this out being in an area with 2 Menards locally and used to shop there weekly and do appreciate their deals + rebates, and actually did buy this item myself yesterday.
Yes their perpetual 11% rebate crap for the last 2+ years could be done with, but that's what changed me from a weekly shopper to a every 4-6 week shopper now, only when they have a really good deal like these bits. But I have never had a problem sending in rebates up to 8 months after they were supposed to be sent, plus I am still using rebate checks I received at the start of 2020 since I shop there a lot less now. People should stop spreading lies about their rebates confusing people.
There is a 10 plus year old thread in the Drugstore/Grocery/Coupons forum here that has most Menards deals posted if you want to keep up that way. Most of their deals never make it to hot deals for the above reasons:
