In terms of gaming you are unlikely to see any worthwhile gains compared to the previous gen. I had the new zephyrus m16 12900h and 3070ti(100 watt even though they claimed 120watts) and the performance was disappointing.
I would rather get the ryzen 5900 hx and 3080 16 gb with full 165 watts over anything available right now and at $1800 it's a great bargain.

For the record, I disabled the boost for Quiet and Auto, but left it on Performance for the rare times I'll need it.
Yeah 105 is the limit and I'm only 4-5 degrees away which sucks. From what I've seen it seems higher than what others generally get, mainly the GPU and scores. Turning off boost seems redundant because the issue with the temps is only in performance mode which I use for gaming and don't want to turn it off for gaming ya know?
I have been thinking about the M2 chip/4080 that's coming out late 2022, but I guess it will take even longer since there is a chip shortage globally.
Thanks for your input! I have realized that I had enabled the overclock option in the bios for cpu and GPU so that's why I was getting higher temps 😂. Now after disabling the overclock I'm seeing 95-98 on the cpu and around 75 or so on the GPU which is better...still wish it was a little cooler though given the vapor chamber and all. oh well I guess it doesn't get any better than this. My first gaming laptop lol

What do you mean slow, the machine is blistering quick
This is blisteringly fast. Boots up in 10-15 seconds. It does get loud when playing heavy GPU games, but otherwise works great. It is NOT loud under non-gaming use.
I got it Friday and it is working great. It is HEAVY compared to the G14, but I found I don't move it around much. The built-in camera is pretty low res, but the G14 didn't even have a camera.
I am old, so the RPG Keyboard isn't needed, but it does look cool. I would like to figure out how to setup the colors. I just haven't taken the time yet.
I picked this Laptop because with the 3080 and Ryzen 9, I expect it should have a longer life. It allows for SDD expansion, I dont' need it yet, but nice to know I can just drop another in. And memory looks easy to expand too.
Screen looks great.
Biggest difference I have seen in performance, MS Flight SImulator used to stutter a bit with the G14. But this machine runs it like a champ. I just installed Cyberpunk 2077 last night, and look forward to it.
Highly recommend if you can swing the money. I did pay for the $88 3 yr Allstate Warranty.
