I got one of these last time. The extension they provide is useless. It does not lock the bit in place. So when you go to actually use it the brush just falls out. The brushes themselves were fine, the very useful attachment they provide is actually useless. Previous seller was "Holikme" . Yes I realize that name is funny.
I cant wait to clean the toilet with this.

How soft are the bristle? I want to clean caked up oil on my cast aluminum motorcycle engine and nothing is working so far. Would this be stiff enough to do something? Anyone have any pointers?

Not stiff enough for that, get either green or yellow bristle, those are typically the stiffer ones. And by the way, these things go for $4 on AliExpress if you're willing to wait a month or two.

Would this work to brush the hard water stains off the swimming pool tiles? I don't want to scratch them if these are too stiff/abrasive or maybe these are too soft, hard to tell.

Thank you, I didn't want to use anything that might mess with the pool water balance/chemistry, but then again I am new to the pools. Would that be safe to use while pool is open and water is testing good?

Have you tried spraying chlorine on the tiles? or maybe a 1:10 solution of acid:water, or a little vinegar. just make sure you use a small amount of acid, maybe a cup or two so you dont lower the PH too much. if that doesn't work i would try steam cleaning. I wouldn't use any other chemical cleaner on my pool. Chlorine, acid, and stabilizer should be the only chemicals you should be using in you pool water anyway. Anything else they tell you to use at the pool store is most likely not needed.
