Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

You can combine/transfer points between accounts in capital one (even to another person).
Not sure on the data points of being approved for this with promo if you have Venture-X.
If I were to guess, I would say low probability. C1 is quite tightfisted with approvals and bonuses.
if you spent 4000$ with any other card coming with 2% cashback, easily get 80$. But here you have to spend 4000$ and annual fee to get 650$ (in cashback or travel credits?), not that attractive
What can a 75k miles do nowadays when it comes to converting to airplane tickets? the last time I used airline miles was 15 years ago.
A return trip in economy to Europe or one way to Europe business class. Transfer points from card to airline loyalty scheme for max redemption. If it was me I would hold until the SUB is higher.

This does not work! I have the card and have called C1 multiple times to try to do it. They said that the only way this is possible is if they offer an upgrade through the portal, which may or may not include an annual fee. I've yet to see this upgrade and it's been two years.
I already got the Venture X 3 months ago, but the preapproval tool only offers secured cards. I'd like to get the regular Venture just for the SUB.
What are my chances of getting approved if I apply now? I suppose I could wait a few months, but I have some travel upcoming that will let me easily hit the SUB.
i got this card for 4 months now , and i got charged about $100 interest , just becareful of the clossing date .................................................................

Not sure what you're saying. It's never good to pay any interest on a credit card. Did you lose track of your payment date or of the 90 day time limit to spend the $4k?
I always set up credit cards with autopay from my bank and I'm able to never charge more than I can pay off. I haven't paid credit card interest in decades. I also set up a calendar reminder for the "spend by" date on these deals to make sure I don't forget.
They don't exist but also that's not what this is as you pay $98 for trial year. There are better comparable offers with that annual fee. Pretty good deal for anyone consider VentureX for sure. Save 350 AF, same bonus value. I've heard the Capital one booking system has slim options but wonder if anyone with more experience can weigh in on that?
You don't have to use the booking system to spend your points, you can redeem your points to cover purchases that you've booked anywhere. And the purchase eraser covers a pretty wide variety of things, flights, hotels, equipment rentals, Ubers.

Did you get the 75K SUB for the venture card even though you had venture-x already ?
