The signup bonus alone is typically many times the annual fee in value--- For example there's a lot of cards offering $750-900 taken as cash point bonuses with just a $95 annual fee--- points which could be worth thousands of dollars used for travel depending how the points are used and in what point system they are....plus whatever other perks the card offers--- so all of them tend to be no-brainers to OPEN (assuming you can do the signup bonus spend comfortably and organically)

It's if an annual fee card is worth KEEPING after the first year that may or may not be a yes depending on the card.... (for example the Amex Platinum is tough to make back the annual fee on after year 1 unless you can use a BUNCH of different monthly credits on a wide variety of things-- if you can only use half of em you're gonna be losing money.... in contrast something like the Hilton Aspire only needs you to use the hotel and airfare credits and you'll be easily ahead of in value of the annual fee each year)

Does anyone know which carrier they use for the expedited shipping? Somehow the virtual card is not available for me and I need to book flights today. I've asked for expedited shipping last week, but I haven't still received it yet.

I had to put the app on my phone to get to the virtual card. Try that if you haven't already.

Why citi premier? Citi points are such crap. You're better off with an amex or another chase card. Like the chase freedom unlimited that gets you 1.5x on anything in any category. Or amex business blue which is 2x on any category

I don't know what the variables are but it does vary from person to person. I don't remember how it went with the Venture card but I was instantly approved for the C1 Spark Business card. When I called for expedited shipping they told me that they don't do that but that if I put the C1 app on my phone, I could create a virtual card #. I did and that worked.

Usually the more you pay the more perks you get. IE I have one credit card from a major hotel corp for 95 a year but I also get one room free a year and 10 points per dollar spent when booking. I also have another that's no charge but it gives me 2 points per dollar at another hotel chain. I also have one that is 450 a year but I also get free drinks at airports. TSA priority free and x amount of free food per year…. I would read up on nerdwallet or thepointsguy.

I too had to submit my license. Applied 1/4, submitted supporting docs 1/4, got approval 1/12, card shipped 1/18, they said I should get it 1/25, we will see.

I have yet to receive my physical card (it's in the mail), and I have the app on my phone, but I can't seem to locate where I can generate a virtual card! I tried the website on my PC and also do not see that option. Any idea or hints as to where I can find it? Or perhaps the option is not available for me since I don't have an existing capitalone card (just bank account)

Should I get this card if I don't travel? Like the rewards is it worth just claiming as credit to pay bill

When you open the app, do you see your account? On my phone, right on the opening page is a button that says, "Get your virtual card"

I do see my account in the app, and there's a banner up top that says "your new card is on its way and may have already arrived. Activate it here so you can start using it today" I've given up and will wait for the phyiscal card. But, thanks for the help.

if i have venture x can i get this too and pool the pts?

Mine was definitely in seconds as advertised. I have great credit and decent income though.
