If you don't backpack a lot and weight isn't the total utmost concern, there are a lot of similar, knock-off stoves for much less on Amazon. Granted, the quality won't be on par with this, but I have one of the cheapie ones and it worked for short, few-day trips as well as when I needed another stove to boil some water on when my stove was out.

I have a well-reviewed cheap knockoff and it works really well, probably going on my 3rd year now.

I agree with everything that has been said.

The "deluxe" has a better burner and push start ignition in case you were wondering.

This design is copied off of Snow Peak. Cheap but reliable knockoffs then copied off of the pocket rocket design since it's like the most popular backpacking stove. If you need a backpacking stove, you can save a lot of money by looking for a similar design and helps if it has the igniter integrated.

What I mean by "similar design" , is that the burner is recessed so not bothered too much by the wind. You still will need to make a makeshift wind barrier in windy conditions though.

I used a $17 BRS stove for my entire thru-hike of the PCT last year. No issues. I see the draw of this not having to carry a lighter, but not worth the price difference in my opinion.

The BRS isn't as efficient, doesn't simmer well, and takes quite a while to boil water.

Really depends on your use case. It's pretty easy to make a case for this depending on your cooking style.

Great stove, personally I run a Jetboil cause the extra couple ounces don't bug me and it rips for boiling water.

The one I purchased was sold by EtekCity and is no longer available, but I think there are several brands who are selling the exact same item. Mine has the ignition button which is helpful, but a lot of ultralight backpackers will buy the one without the ignition and carry a Bic lighter to save half an ounce, or whatever, lol.
