Amazon reivews are hard to naviagate cause they include all the different models in their reviews.

All models that include the dual band Velop are complete trash and issues. The Velop Triband Linksys which this is, actually works very well being a direct contender to the Orbi RBK53's from around the same time. Most people on here who told you Velop suck are confusing their dualband with the triband or they are confusing the package that came with 1 Triband and 2 dualband nodes which also sucked cause of the dual bands.Three tribands should work perfectly fine and be a good pickup for people who dont have high ISP speeds.

If you are planning to hold onto something for a long time like you did the RT-68U's then going with wifi 6 is the only smart option. Even on older equipment there are passive benefits from being on a wifi 6 router, such as better range and speed increases in some cases.

If your on a 500meg plan or slower and never plan on upgrading to faster ISP speeds then these can hold you by for awhile.

You could keep the 68u as nodes and simply build with ASUS routers with wifi6. ASUS mesh is superior to most including Linksys.

I got some variant of these from Costco and had to stop firmware updates otherwise the network kept crapping out. Was very frustrating. I read turning off HomeKit integration may solve issues too.

So far so good, haven't updated firmware in months, reboot every couple months to keep things fresh……

They posted a similar deal on SD a couple days. I own this model and have owned it for about 1+ years. I also have extra dual band Velop nodes running in my mesh network, so I have a total of 4 nodes. The nodes work good so far but the transition from nodes is slow and you get occasional drop outs. My biggest gripe with this is setup is that Linksys advises you to do all of the setup through a smartphone app. Unfortunately for some users the app is totally broken and you cannot do anything with it after you connect to the ui. Instead you have to connect to it through a computer, which is fine in most cases but the smartphone app does have more features than the desktop interface. I cannot speak on the setup process through desk since I did my initial setup using the smartphone app (back when it worked). You can read the app reviews on Apple and Android sort it by new and you'll see alot of other users also having issues with the Linksys smartphone app.

I bought this to replace two of the Asus T-Mobile mesh routers that can't seem to get me more than 60mbps. I'm hoping they will hold me over until 6E becomes more common and cheaper. ISP is at 200mbps.

Good to know, I was wondering the same thing. The mixed reviews make it very hard to draw a conclusion.

Yeah I just got this set and what a pain in the ass. The app is so slow and the install took forever cause its clunky. First you have to make an account which is bs so I used my desktop. I then realized I NEED THE APP to really do anything else. I go through everything and get them online and then after hours it asks me to change to a stronger password so it wont let me sign in. I have letter, caps, symbol and number which was ok for a few hours but then it wants me to change it. Like wtf? Honestly this was one of the worst router experiences ever.

Cant comment just yet on performance but I hope you all fare better!
