I think the place sucks, all cheap crap, china, rust, I mean they have a fanbase, but I personally hate that store. hope it dies.
Throw away tools mostly, but I have torque wrenches, wrenches, sockets, and 20-ton hydraulic press that work well and were cheap.
But I agree that they got what they wanted when they took away the coupons.
Less foot traffic...and profit/revenue.
And the other problem is...the closest store is 10-15 miles from me.
Roundtrip, that's 20-30 miles.
At the cost of $3.75+/gallon, it's $7 for a "free" crappy flashlight.
Never had any problems with harbor freight stuff or service. Getting a 20% coupon though is way harder. They seem to still have their regulars, but have lost the occasional DIY folks.
There are still deals to be had at HF. Just don't expect Snap-On or Milwaukee quality and you'll generally be alright. For the DIY folks who need a tool for occasional or one time use, it makes no sense to buy the best tools money can buy. Tool snobs will disagree I'm sure.
Don't expect Snap-On quality - LOL. I would take that down several levels to don't even expect the newer Craftsman quality, and actually I would not expect Black and Decker quality. I used to love Harbor Freight though. I have some very good tools but sometimes I need a tool that will not be used much and then I would go there and get something inexpensive with a coupon. But the prices are ridiculous there now, and many things are priced well above if not double the price of a similar quality Walmart Hyper Tough brand. I used to go there and look around at least once or twice a month, but I have only been there once in the past year and unless something changes it will likely be no trips over the next year.
Good bye HF, we had a great run but the party is over.
I happened to be driving by a Harbor Freight and remembered this coupon, so I stopped in. They still had these lights in stock on the bottom shelf next to the register. I got one. There were a lot of people in the store. I walked around but didn't find anything I needed, so I only got the light, but other people were buying things. Most people weren't even getting the light with their purchase, so there are still enough people who like to shop there. I hope they don't go out of business.

Walmart has mostly discontinued the Hyper Tough brand and the replacement Hart tools are Not Cheap. There are still deals to be had at HF. And to your comment about Black & Decker - I have a BD circular saw that has ripped and roared flawlessly for over twenty years, a heavy drill that has mixed more mud and paint than I care to remember, and a smll battery drill that has served me just fine around the house.

Whatever though. It's not a big loss
I was barely ever able to find these in stock when they were free with purchase.

They're actually really bright if you replace the shitty batteries with good ones.

No thanks.
