I am going to stick with my Ikea Bolmen which is 9.75" tall. My little ones never had a problem climbing up on these. Plus the regular price is $1.50 less than the SkipHop sale price.

We have this one and it works nice for our 4 year old but it doesn't snap in as tight as I'd like so we keep them separate. They are very tough and lightweight enough for her to move herself so I'd recommend for this price for sure!

IKEA remains a go-to for the pricing and availability of their kids step stools. The SkipHop tries to incorporate an interesting gimmick, which may add value for a specific subset of users, but unless you're just states away from an IKEA I don't see anything particularly noteworthy on offer here...? I was particularly disappointed that the smaller step was labeled for a lower weight limit which makes perfect sense but also suggests that if an adult were to accidentally attempt that first step they might end up crushing the product.
