This 2022 version has a completely upgraded cooling solution with more heatpipes, powerful Fan and better thermal paste, resulting full power RTX 3070 Ti, 150W. PCWorld Hands-On Video link below showing all the details:

According to this, it's not a 150w gpu

I think Notebookcheck is a lot more technically savvy and PCWorld probably read the specs about the Omen 17 and got confused.

Thanks for that. Looks like the 2022 version is pretty much no faster at gaming, is slightly louder too. Faster at CPU though. I'll happily just hold on to my 2021 one I got for $1300 open box from Best Buy. I love it, it's a terrific laptop.

I also checked that review after posting that deal. However, that exact model, 16-b1090ng, if you check the HP Support Page, clearly mentioned to have RTX 3070 Ti with Nvidia Max-Q technology. https://support.hp.com/sg-en/document/c08173157
The model I have posted is 16-b1797nr which is a different series. HP has a reputation of releasing two versions of same series when they do a hardware refresh, one with the older design with just new hardware refresh and another with updated hardware but also updated internal/external design change.
The model Notebookcheck.net has reviewed is the hardware-only refreshed version with exactly same design as the 2021 model and same cooling solution. It does not have Numpad like the 2021 version.
HP official Spec sheet for USA, mentioning to have140W for RTX 3060 and 150W for RTX 3070 Ti.

Yes, the one reviewed by notebookcheck.net is a different model than this one.
Blame HP for frustratingly refusing to post any GPU wattage though even when NVIDIA is directing manufacturers to post that info.

EDIT: This is indeed 115W max, not 150W. The spec sheet linked is not correct. Was able to confirm on-hand within the store where it happened to carry one.
