Had this card for 5 years or so. Signed up when it was originally 100K pts. And prior to the increase in annual fee. This sign up offer is okay, nothing extraordinary.

60K bonus for $500 anual fee is pretty low...even the lower level Chase Saphire Preferred has 80k bonus with just $95 AF , too bad it just expired LOL

This is meh, I would wait for a higher offer for a Sapphire card if you're waiting for one. You can only churn it once every 4 years.

We switched to Capital One Venture X as our daily spender which is superior in almost every way. Currently has a better bonus and lower fee of $395. 75k points for 4k spend. $300 travel credit, 10k bonus points ever year, also up to 4 free authorized users vs Chase $75 per authorized user. Each authorized user gets free Priority Pass + 2 guests. So if each authorized user brings 2 guests to a lounge, that's up to 15 people getting free food and booze on one card LoL. Also has 10k referral bonus so you can refer your spouse.

The $300 is only for travel purchased via their portal. How does the rates on their portal compare to regular rates?

I think it's the same rate but I never bothered to check. The travel portal is the only major downside vs Chase which is much more flexible with their $300 travel credit. But it's easy enough to book a flight, hotel or rental car with the Capital One portal.

Crazy question and I can't get an answer from Chase. I had the Sapphire almost four years ago. I hit the spend about two months in by booking a cruise. They gave me the bonus points but the cruise was canceled due to Covid and in a few months they took them away. Now I want to get a Reserve and they said I am not eligible yet. So, if I wait until the 4 year mark (which they are making me do) will I still get the bonus or do I need to wait until the bonus was posted and taken away? They show no record of me receiving the bonus except by looking at my statement that was reversed a couple of months later.
