For those curious about the LT vs the ultra see roku's comparison (basically, no usb, slightly different remote with no find-me feature, and no support for dolby atmos.)

https://www.roku.com/products/com...01RW&4802R

Really it's now a much smaller difference than the previous version where you also lost one of the HDR modes and had worse wifi (2.4ghz only if memory serves.) Definitely a good buy if you have no need for atmos or playing from an external drive
Good info. The previous version, discontinued Roku Ultra LT (2019), based on the Ultra (2019), does have dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi and can had from 3rd party sellers for $40-46 [walmart.com].

For those who want USB playback and/or Ethernet but are more stingy, the Roku Express 4K+ ($30 when on sale, $40 regular) also supports external Ethernet and USB flash drive (simultaneously if you want) via a micro-USB OTG cable or hub per Lon.TV [youtube.com].
What bugs? I have a 2 year old Ultra and have never had a bug issue.

Looks like you also lose the USB port for local playback on the LT model.

Good information but an FYI would be to avoid 3rd party Walmart. The seller can literally ship you anything and Walmart will not get involved. It is right in their description they are not liable and PayPal will not refund your money.

Um no. Or at least no when they are FULFILLED(shipped) by Walmart as the link the person shared specifically says 30-day returns, then if you click on the 30-day returns it says Walmart handles the shipping returning etc. They are now more like Amazon with the a to z buyer protection (but only for items that are fulfilled by Walmart it's okay if they are a third party item, but have to be shipped by Walmart to be protected, for items that are shipped and provided by a third person then yes you are SOL but Walmart ships a ton of third party items.)

Edit: found the marketplace guarantee which seems to now include all 3rd party items not just wally world fulfilled : https://www.walmart.com/help/arti...6b7b0b616b under "Walmart Marketplace Promise" "The Walmart Marketplace Promise applies in the following cases:

Three or more days have passed since the estimated delivery date and you have not received the item.
If you need to request a refund under the Walmart Marketplace Promise, we accept requests for 90 days after the last estimated delivery date of the item you ordered.
Tracking for your package shows the item has not shipped to the shipping address on your order.
You received items(s) different than expected and a return was denied by the seller.
Your item was returned with a trackable shipping method and the seller has not issued you a refund within 48 hours of receipt.
Deductions were taken for the cost of return shipping fees, and the return was at the fault of the seller."

Switched from Roku to Apple TV. Not a single day goes by where I miss the Roku bugs. Well worth the extra money for apple.

My 2018 Roku Ultra was acting funky so I went to the Clinton, NJ Walmart to pick up the OP's deal. I found a 2020 Ultra on the shelf marked down to $35 on clearance. Good enough for me.

just making sure you havent tried to reboot the device. mine starts acting very 'sluggish' after a week or two, reboot fixes her right back up

If the reboot helps, plugging the Roku into a smart plug & setting the schedule to power cycle the plug once a week when no one is using it (4AM Smilie) would fix it!

Another question I'd have is, "Why does this need a reboot?"

Wow! So it's been a while since you had reliable technology! Big Grin

I have a Fire TV Stick 4K Max (that is quite a long name) and sometimes it needs a reboot too. Sometimes the apps misbehave and a reboot fixes them. I have no idea why these things can't work better. Software? Hardware? Both?

When it works though, I like the Fire TV stick. I wish it had more native storage though. I know you could add more (via USB and OTG dongle), but the apps don't work as well when they are not on native storage, and it is a pain to upgrade apps if they are not on native storage (I know this because I added USB storage). Amazon should just increase the cost $5 and add another 16GB of space!
