This Crossbow is being sold with a known defect. DO NOT BUY. Please read reviews on the "String Locking Mechanism" and you will see that numerous complaints about this product. When addressing issue with seller "Sportsman's Outfitters", my calls and e-mails have gone unanswered.
$10 cheaper at $179.99 if you buy it from Sportsmans Outfitters!
Lol why are people down voting you? Daryl was the best character of the series
Haha, no idea. Either they're very serious crossbow affecienados, don't know who Daryl is, have unfortunately lost all sense of humor, don't think you should joke about the zombie apocalypse.... I mean really list goes on and on. Lol
Not a bad deal but the msrp is misleading. This thing goes for $215 on Amazon.
I am more interested in hearing from someone who uses one regularly
This brand was listed as a manufacturer of killer instinct. That would make me cautious... There was a deal a few months back on a crossbow and I had to crap on it. It was a killer instinct. I had one that was about to explode on me. I only had it a month. Thankfully bass pro took it back as they should. That model was garbage and so many people had issues with it. It was one they pushed to shoot up to 405 fps... This one is up to 370. That incident scared me enough to purchase a wicked ridge by 10 point. No issues with it.
Xbows are good for people who are gun shy and are not yet skilled/confident with a compound bow. I enjoy shooting my crossbow in gun season as well... No loud boom!!! They are heavier and more cumbersome than a gun, so of the 3 tools mentioned, they have their pros and cons.
Get a good scope, get some decent bolts, and decei broadheads. I shot a nice sow(female hog) last year with my crossbow and she went down right there! Perfect heart shot and died within a minute, squealing wise. I really don't like to see animals suffer, so I Guage my tools on that... Certain calibers I will not use again for that reason. If a deer or hog runs after a shot, I'm done... And all of my tools are on point. I don't take a shot unless it is...
Anywho, don't go by the walking dead bs. Crossbows are very cumbersome in real world use and a compound bow is better, but requires waay more practice. So a crossbow is satisfying enough that I decided to use it regularly in my arsenal. I didn't get my triple trophy Last year with muzzleloader, rifle, and bow. I got a buck with the mzldr, 2 doe with rifle, hog with xbow, but I hunted hard for this huge buck with a bow and he never gav me a shot... I should have went after this other big buck, but I was letting my cousin have it... Which he never got because he didn't listen to me, lol! That buck would show daily to my stand... Man I can't wait for the season to start!
I bought one of these two months ago through eBay; last week while unboxing I discovered scope had defect internally. I called the phone number on user manual and was promptly speaking with a real person, explained to them my situation and provided my info. While waiting to hear back I get a random package, they sent me a replacement scope second day air! I know they have to be insanely busy with many states deer season openers right now, to offer quality kind of service on a $190 bow package absolutely blew me away.

Maybe if you shoot it in the eye? To be safe probably both eyes. Or a koala bear
It's probably illegal to TALK about a crossbow in Canada.

Nope, get a gun, any gun... You have one shot that is powerful and will mess one person up, if you hit them

Probably because it became such a terrible show.
