Key Features:- Cooling and Heatingļ¼The Muse Series advanced compressor provides stable performance and delivery of powerful air flows even under extreme weather conditions. You can use this unit in summer when highs reach 115ā or in the depths of winter when temperatures drop below -13ā. Be prepared for any weather.
- With an innovative inverter technology, the variable speed will adjust automatically to achieve the target temperature. Muse's higher SEER rating also provides greater energy efficiency, saving up to 62% on energy costs compared to low-SEER units.
- With a split system, the indoor cooling unit and outdoor compressor unit are separate, so you will never hear the hum of a loud compressor like you would with a window AC unit. The noise level you can hear from the indoor unit is only 24-31dB. It's so quiet you will barely notice it is there.
- Certified by AHRI and ETL, the TOSOT Muse Series exceeds industry standards with high quality details. The copper pipes ensure better resistance to corrosion, and ability to withstand high pressure, which ensures the long lifespan of the unit.
- 16.5 ft copper line set, power cord, and 19.7 ft signal cable are included for DIY enthusiasts who know how to perform electrical work, plumbing, checking for refrigerant leaks, and drilling. If not, it's recommend you find a qualified professional to help you with installation.
- When the heating mode is activated, it will generate warm air throughout your specific heating zone without wasting energy on heating the entire home. This can help you precisely control the temperature in the room where you spend the most time.

If it's 'cold' (~30s or 20s) outside, I can heat the garage to a comfortable mid to high sixties after about two hours. Keep in mind, I'm leaving the unit off overnight, and then trying to heat up the space from ~35-40 degrees back up to 68 before the sun is fully up. Previously I had a 7kw garage heater plugged into a 30A 240V outlet that could get it comfortable in under 30 minutes. The mini split is far more cost effective.
Don't expect quick heat ups when the delta T is large. A better approach, if your garage is insulated and you're willing to spend the money, is to run the mini split 24/7 with it set at a low set point (50s) and then set it higher on demand.
In the summer, it's unreal. Today I cooled it from 95 degrees to 75 degrees in 30 minutes while it was 100 outside. It is also amazingly effective at extracting humidity.
The conventional wisdom is to not oversize the unit. You'll end up with too much humidity and short cycling. However, for a leaky garage space where I only enable the unit during occupancy, I believe I made the right choice in oversizing it. Or, perhaps it is right sized if you actually calculated it instead of using cubic foot rules of thumb.

probably because they are more widespread, which brings down the price. over here, mainly everything is central air. don't forget the standard voltage throughout europe is 240v. so that's an additional expense that is added here.
I don't think this will be efficient enough to heat a three door garage in Minnesota. When I lived in the Midwest, we had a garage heater that is specifically designed for that purpose, and it was really nice! I don't recall what's called, but I'm sure you can look it up easily.
