I have a Ryobi 40v system and have been thinking about converting to Ego, is this trimmer any better than the Ryobi one that comes bundled with the blower?

I've been on the fence on whether to get the Ego multi head system with the string trimmer attachment or the stand alone. At this price I will go for the stand alone!

I have all gas powered tools and like battery powered for easier maintenance.

Thanks for deal. I'm not a huge fan of Acme, and I do not like refurbished but for $86 for it with a battery and charger I had to bite.

Wife will be happy. Not the one she wanted, but hopefully it lasts at least a few months and I'll upgrade during BF if sales show up.

Depend how u pull the trigger. I can trim my whole 7k sqft with 1 2.5A battery.

In for oneā€¦let's see what their "refurbished/used' model looks like. As others have said battery and charger alone at this price make it worth while not to mention my existing trimmer (ego) is on its last leg due to letting it drag on sidewalks and driveways while trimming those areas..resulting in bottom being tore up/wore down. Thanks for sharing OP.

Plus it only say refurbished tool not the batterry. Hopefully battery is brand new. I am getting one too since the new battery itself is $150.
