Where was this reference less than $1k? ShopWorn added these with the past couple of weeks. They did have the Storm Chaser Glows around that time, but those had numerals.

it was email promo. I got it myself as mystery deal. SS version was slightly higher than leather one but both under $1k
I assume you mean a mechanical chrono; lots of choices for analog quartz chronos at varying price points.
On the inexpensive side, the "classic" Seagull 1963 is quite reasonably priced and modestly sized. Hand wound, not automatic. Available with acrylic or sapphire glass. Some versions of the movement have a swan-neck regulator; check for that if it matters to you.
At a much higher price point, the Hamilton Intramatic Chronograph H is also a good choice, also hand-wound.
In general, finding an analog chrono that small is tough, because the movements don't come that small, and the location of the pinions for the subdials is fixed; you can't just put shorter hands on and make the dial smaller.

Back in May. $1,625 base price - $650 coupon for just under $1K before taxes. Model was the Storm Chaser Pro CM3090C-S1J-WH with bracelet and panda dial. Absolute beauty.

This is a strap monster too, and looks good on the OEM bracelet and leather, nato, canvas straps.
