Edit: Increased price to 199.99 on 8/11/2022

On sale for 169.99

242.24 at Lowes and Home Depot, and Regular priced at 229 at evolutionpowertools.com. I just purchased mine so not sure how good it is but reviews I've seen look good so giving it a try for that price since I was in the market for a sliding 7 1/4 sliding miter saw.

Found a $25 dollar coupon code 25SURVEY and brought it down to 144 before tax, 156 after tax YMMV.

I saw that too, and it was addressed in a YouTube video where if you flip the arbor over on the other side it fits standard blades.
It slides.
I have had the Evolution Rage 2 for 6 years. I have cut thousands of pieces of mild steel and lots of other materials only replacing the blade once so far. It has been a really solid piece of equipment and I would buy another one no question. I just ordered this saw so I have something smaller than the Rage 2 and my 12 inch Bosch so I am hoping the quality is the same as the Rage. I also got a 10$ off zipcode discount for some reason automatically (zip is 46356) so my total was $144.46 with tax. Probably because they are right by me and shipping will be super cheap for them. As far as the company I can say they have been around a while and have great reviews. I have not had to use the repair service so I can't speak to that but If you are on the fence for the little guy It probably has enough torque for most applications.

Not a bad deal on the saw you listed. Some good deals on the industrial B metal cutting units!

Anyone have any personal experience with this brand? Can't say I've heard of it before.

The color scheme and design looked a lot like WEN, and I won't be surprised if they rolled off the same assembly line somewhere in China.

Good deals on sone metal chop saws.

Picked up the evosaw380 (first version of the 380cps) for $315 after the code (25SURVEY)
Lowest ever on the camel is $318 so pretty good deal.
The newer version is $479 and while it's got some cool features I can't see spending that much more. (Has a better thread on the vice, Allen wrench storage, mounting holes, better angle set up, that's about all the differences) If I was a shop owner I'd get the better one but being a hobbyist the functionality is the same, might take me a few seconds longer to set an angle but for the amount of times I do that it's negligible.

Not much experience with this particular saw, but after purchasing their Chop Saw which is highly rated. I would trust this brand for 160ish bucks.

This makes the Harbor Freight model look like commercial duty units.

Looks like a UK brand from what I see on youtube. Not sure where manufactured, but shipped and in transit from Illinois pretty quick. I'm a hobbyist just getting into the craft, and this fits what I'm looking to make at the moment.

One thing I have noticed about the Evolution brand is I believe they use a non-standard arbor for their saws. I am concerned this locks me into only using their special blades. Is this like a Gillette or Inkjet printer strategy where the hardware is given out at attractive prices and profits are made on the consumables.

Most people are interested in ability to bevel an angle steel it'll provide that.
