The gameplay is fine (3rd person shooter linear adventure), but this game shines in the storytelling and dialogue. Seriously, the writers deserve awards for how much banter and dialogue just fits in and makes it feel real - like a crazy dysfunctional family.
I know some people like really long games, but this felt just right to me. The story moves along at a good speed and doesn't overstay its welcome. As a busy parent, it was perfect.
Similar vibe as the Guardian MCU movies, but the stories are different - FYI.
Also, free upgrade from PS4-> PS5.
Guardians of the Galaxy is fun and definitely worth picking up at $12.99.
A bit surprised that Lego Star Wars is falling so fast in price. I suppose that reflects the quality/replayability. At this rate it should be under $10 in another few months. I might pick it up when it hits $5.

I don't see it hitting 5 for years to come. It's very well polished and there's over 1000 hidden bricks to find if you want something to do after the main story. Cheapest I've seen is 40 new so far so I'd say 25 is a good price right now
GameStop has a used Ghost of Tsushima for ps4 for 19.99 plus tax and if they have it near you you can pick up in store and save on shipping. Shipping is free on 49+ dollars or more.

The price of Lego games always drop pretty fast. I expect $25 or less for a new copy by the end of this year.
If you're like me, one of your deal-breaker questions about games that are less than a year old is "How often will the game crash, lag, or encounter a bug that interferes with progression?"
I played this on game pass maybe 2 or 3 weeks after release and experienced only one freeze crash, which did not recur after relaunching the game, and one bug (a clipping issue preventing completing objective) that was solved by reloading checkpoint.
That's a pretty good QA record for a new release these days.
While guardians of the Galaxy was a bit of a short game, the banter within the game was ok if you like the banter in the movies. Of course, this is when compared to a game like Forbidden West, which may have been an exception. Fun game irregardless (yes I know that's not a word, and yes I may be trolling you).

Agreed. I was surprised how well the game was done and really enjoyed it
Ghost was awesome. One of my all time favorite games for PS4.
Guardians was... ok. Yeah the banter is funny the first time around, but the combat sucks. The story is meh. OK deal for this price. I bought at $40 and sold it for $25 when I finished it.
