Check out the local library for free museum / zoo passes too. Also, Back of America does free museum weekends [bankofamerica.com] still. Another thing to consider is that some museums offer free admission on certain days of the month as their own promo. High Museum of Art in Atlanta offer free admission [high.org] on the second Sunday of each month. The Children's Museum in Atlanta used to offer free days too on select days of the month. Likely other museums in other states do something similar.
