I like the idea of these bags but how do you easily clean them?

Looking for a 'buy once cry once' bladder bag. Any features I should look out for or these good enough?

I used the 2L Teton during a Spartan Beast, great pack, holds water well so it's not shaking around too much.

Add water, add dawn, SHAKE, and rinse? Could probably even use diluted bleach if you wanted to sanitize.

Don't forget to use a pipe cleaner for the pipings.

Only if something starts growing in it or it was filled with a thick liquid that dried. White vinegar breaks up stuff too if it sits. I just use hot water, dawn, and a table spoon of bleach after a week of drinking water out of one. Don't leave them filled for very long and there won't be a problem.

Vinegar or citric acid are safer options for cleaning. If you accidentally drink some it's not a big deal

Not really a good deal on the Teton Sports Oasis 1100. I got mine back in 2017 for $23.50, but I will say that I love it. Works excellently for short hikes, day trips, and skiing. Very durable and has lasted through some pretty good activity. I clean the water pack once or twice a season with water and some dish soap. Great product.

Is there such thing as an insulated water bladder or hydration pack?

There are insulated sleeves that you can slide the bladder into, assuming there's a little extra room for the sleeve in the compartment of the pack. You can also find sleeves for the tubing so you don't end up with nice warm water for the first few sips every time you drink on a hot outing.

I highly recommend the source hydration WXP! Super easy to clean with the top slide, insulated straw that detaches from both the mouthpiece and the bladder. There's also a variant that allows for an inline Sawyer filter. The bladder is made from a super thick material. The Israeli military uses them.

The diluted bleach is a good suggestion. All my backpacking water bladders suggest doing this for any long term storage to stop bacterial growth and they are basically the same thing.

Mine are only used for transporting water though, so no tubes. Can't comment much if that part is a pain too keep clean or not.
