Has anyone gotten the cashback from top?
how long after you made the purchase did it take to say it was pending?
I guess I should stop using tcb. i've had to chase a lot of cashback.
If they do in the future I will think about joining then...their stock is down 49% in the past 5 years....I hope they make a change soon
I'll have to assume that all of them are probably so young they weren't around when you had to pay more than the cost of HBO Max now for a single channel (eventually up to like 7-10 if you don't count the East/West as dupes). With no On Demand or DVR unless you made room or had a blank VHS (and still had to have the program on to record it).
It's literally HALF the cost of what HBO (channel) has always been. And that's for the ad free option. Which was never an option when sub'd via cable. I'm sure most ppl spend more than the monthly cost every day for lunch.
Seems there's a lot of out of touch, entitled people out there that seem to have gotten used to (and believe) that any streaming service can survive on $5-$10/mo. I don't care if they have 300 million subs. That just means they have to pay even more to build and maintain the infrastructure needed for the service and it's not sustainable.
I know this because it's my job to know. Years ago I was administering a certain well known site that held the title for pushing the most traffic on the internet well into Netflix's move to streaming. (And still does a fairly large chunk). If people think it is ANYTHING like "running your own Plex or Jellyfin", just on a larger scale, they are 1000% wrong.
Enjoy the apparently "overpriced" service while you can. All prices on all streaming services will continue to go up. Or they won't be around anymore. Plain and simple. You cannot increase user base while also having the storage and bandwidth requirements go up without spending a $hit ton on the infrastructure, coders and devs to keep the innovation coming, admins and support to keep the above mentioned infrastructure running while also not forgetting about everyone else that's needed outside of the direct IT staff...
Hell, I remember spending millions on TWO decked out Isilons for *temporary* content storage. And it wasn't even half of the space required. That's just storage. And this was 20+ years ago. And that price comes nowhere near the cost of the core and edge network equipment. Could blow millions on a single router..and of course you can't have just what you need. REDUNDANCY is a bitch. So multiply all the cost by at least 3.
And ppl complaining about $8 and some change. SMH
You worked in admin and you think 1000% wrong is a real statistic? I mean if they were 9% wrong they could experience a 1000% increase in wrongness I suppose. But come on if you want to be taken seriously...
Wow. Useful reply. Since you had absolutely no information to convey on the subject you started to spout some BS instead. You must be a fun person to converse with. Spouting random attempted insults because you can't contribute anything of worth to the actual conversation.
Sounds more to me like you just didn't understand anything I said (or just have no grasp on the concept of exaggeration as any halfway intelligent human being would understand that it was and not respond with the completely obvious) and rather than trying to understand or have a real discussion or debate about it, you opted to attempt to spout insults.
So tell me can you actually contribute something or are you just here to troll?

Yeah my experience with TopCB means you're likely SOL. They're CS is equivalent of a pacifier service, just to make you feel better about not getting CB credit. Sorry. Best of luck, I just know I have a few transactions that were correctly tracked with $0.00 CB pending. It's BS.
Sam's Club just canceled my cash back today, which had been pending. The FAQ suggested it was because I already had a "competing" cash back click-through offer from TCB & you can't double-dip.

Same for me. This is BS.
