Along come the comments of people saying you need to get fit for clubs so you shouldn't buy these…these clubs are absolutely great for beginners, hands down. I also recommend picking up the Kirkland wedges to go with these for a true full set.
Whew! Finally was able to get in on one of these. They would always be sold out by the time I got to it. Thanks OP!
This will be my first club set, and my friends have mentioned this to be a great starters set. Better than the Strata. Now just need to find a good deal on a bag and gloves.
"When you start playing" is true, you don't "need" to be fit. If golf becomes a more serious hobby, then yes it really does matter.
Also, for the 6'4" and up crowd in here, yes you need longer clubs 100%. At that height you cannot have the proper balance/ stance to consistently swing the club well. I'm 6'0" with longish arms and I've played +1/2" most of my career. That being said, yes that extra length makes a difference; softens the shaft a touch and adds both overall club and swing weight.
There are levels to all hobbies, people spend $10k in CF parts to make their car go 0.1 seconds faster in the 1/4 mile.
If you are a casual person who plays 2-3x a year you don't need to be fit and this is a pretty good buy. The Kirkland wedges are also pretty legit for the money.

I have the Big Max stand bag and K-Sig gloves from Costco that I paired with this club set. The bag is nice other than some of the pockets/cooler being a little small.

Thanks much. I was definitely leaning towards K-Sig gloves. But do not see the bag you mentioned online at Costco. There seems to be a couple other bags from Pebble Beach and Dri Light.
Would these be good for my 6'4" son or would he need a different set?
As a 6 2 guy, I wouldn't recommend standard length. I'm planning on getting fitted this winter because I feel my standard clubs have been about a half inch too short. I can't imagine being 2 inched taller trying to swing those

Is that expensive? Would do long that remove the value from this set? Or still worth it?
