The performance is more or less equivalent to a NVidia mx450 laptop GPU. However, the CPU performance is probably the fastest in these form factor mini PCs, until the 12th Gen NUC or similar PCs started hitting the market. It is couple of % faster than Ryzen 9 5900HX with its full 70W TDP set. Don't get it for main purpose as gaming. But for other purposes like running Plex or media server, work desktop, high end coding and scientific workloads etc., this is a very good machine for the price. You probably need to spend another $100 to add 16GB Ram kit and 512GB Gen 3 NVMe SSD.

That 4700U is a mobile CPU that is much slower than the 5700G. Even the benchmarks you sent show that it's significantly faster.

Check out the passmark difference too

The mobile one is nice if you don't mind the performance difference and much smaller and cheaper. This is near desktop performance in a slightly larger small form factor. It's smaller than the standard ITX sizes that are used to make generic small desktops.

For $140 less you take a bit of a performance hit but you get 16GB of memory and 512GB ssd. You have to really really want that CPU.

It's nearly double the speed for the CPU and GPU. People pay far larger premiums for much less benefit when buying hardware.
